We’re delighted to announce that the former editor of 3D Artist magazine, Steve Holmes, has joined the studio as Marketing Manager on 5 June 2017
Based at our approximately 80-seat facility in Bournemouth, UK, Steve will be spearheading the creation of up-to- date reels for marquee projects, circulating press materials, developing PR strategy, running social media channels, curating website content, managing event activities and focusing on exposing our work to the world.
“We’ve seen a huge impact across the studio already,” explained Danny Duke, Managing Director. “Steve’s enthusiasm and knowledge is key to how swiftly we’re able to turn around our marketing materials, and in producing our reels and breakdowns I know he’s embracing a love of film and creativity. I’m excited that he’s joined us and I know Steve will change the face of Outpost VFX for the better.”
Steve comes off the back of four years in the magazine publishing world, having headed up the content and delivery for international visual effects magazine 3D Artist, as well as stints working on other diverse publications including Play, Retro Gamer, games™ and 3D World.
“I’m extremely excited to join such a hungry and accomplished creative company and hope to help the team in getting their work and expertise in front of a wider audience,” said Holmes. “Outpost VFX has been part of some incredibly diverse and challenging projects so far, and the astonishing quality of the output really impressed me during my time as a VFX journalist. It continues to impress me now, and I’m very happy to be here.”
