We are thrilled that some of the projects we’ve worked on recently have received nominations from the Visual Effects Society’s 17th annual Awards!
Among the nominees at the VES Awards are Jack Ryan, for Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Photoreal Episode, which faces off against The Handmaid’s Tale, The Deuce and The Alienist.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom meanwhile has three nominations across Outstanding Animated Character in a Photoreal Feature for Indoraptor, which will see it go up against Avengers: Infinity War’s Thanos, Christopher Robin’s Tigger and Ready Player One’s Art3mis; Outstanding Virtual Cinematography in a Photoreal Project, with other nominees including Aquaman, Echo, Ready Player One and Welcome to Marwen; and Outstanding Compositing in a Photoreal Feature alongside Avengers: Infinity War, First Man and Welcome to Marwen.
The nominees have been selected by VES Members via events hosted across Australia, the Bay Area, Germany, London, Los Angeles, Montreal, New York, New Zealand, Toronto, Vancouver and Washington. The VES Awards will be held on February 5 2019 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
This follows the news that Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has made the shortlist for Best Visual Effects at the 91st Academy Awards.
