Outpost created the trompe-l'œil effect to this revision of a classic ‘Monkey’ PG Tips commercial for Bosh at Mother London.
In order to create the double zoom effect for the packaging, Outpost created a full CG environment. Monkey was shot against greenscreen, keyed and composited, which allowed Director Anthony Austin a great amount of freedom in post, designing the set around the camera rather than locking in a motion control shoot on the day of filming.
The Outpost team used Maya to create the environment, Redshift for GPU rendering and Nuke for compositing.
